The 'rock star' Welsh teenager who just blew people away on the opening night of the English Premiership

While Wales' current crop of rugby stars were gearing up for a Rugby World Cup quarter-final in Japan, one youngster earmarked for a bright future was making his mark far closer to home.

Wales U18s star Ioan Lloyd became Bristol Bears' youngest player to play in the Premiership for the club as he came off the bench in their opening night victory over Bath.

However, the 18-year-old wasn't merely content with getting on the field during their 43-16 thumping of their rivals at Ashton Gate. Instead, he tore things up - scoring a debut try and looking dangerous in his brief cameo.

Unsurprisingly, social media was full of praise for the young Welshman.

One Twitter user described him as a 'future rock star', while Premiership Rugby Comms Director Paul Morgan called him 'one of the most talented players of his generation'.
