The Rock confirms he didn’t buy a T. rex skull for $31.8 million, which is disappointing

It turns out The Rock didn’t cook up $31.8 million to pay for a real dinosaur skull.

Dwayne Johnson — The Rock! — appeared on Monday’s NFL playoff ManningCast for the Los Angeles Rams’ win over the Arizona Cardinals, and showed off a T. rex head in the background of his shot, mentioning that it was named “Stan.”

Which led everyone to wonder: Was it a REAL Tyrannosaurus Rex skull that an anonymous buyer put down nearly $32 million to buy a few years ago?

Sadly, nope. Johnson posted on Instagram Wednesday afternoon that it was a replica. But it was quite an entertaining post (WARNING: NSFW language ahead!):

I love the fact that he said he wouldn’t keep the real skull in his office, along with the history of the real Stan the T. rex. Alas!
