The road closures for Manic Street Preachers’ Cardiff Castle gig

There are more big gigs in Cardiff this weekend than any other in recent memory, with Manic Street Preachers, The Killers and Paul Weller all playing consecutive nights at the castle.

And that means more traffic on the roads and people on the street.

Friday, June 28 sees Brandon Flowers' Las Vegas rockers warm up for their pre- Glastonbury headlining gig, while The Modfather appears on Sunday, June 3.

So that means it's the turn of Blackwood's finest to take to the stage on Saturday, June 29 before a sold-out crowd.

But what roads will be closed in the city centre?

Fortunately, the central shut-down won't be as far-reaching as with events in the  Principality Stadium.

In fact, restrictions only kick after the show ends, with Castle Street and North Road closing to allow gig-goers to exit the castle.

However, these road closures will be for no more than 20-30 minutes.
