Tutor profiles

Polly Toynbee is a columnist for the Guardian. She was formerly BBC social affairs editor, columnist and associate editor of the Independent, co-editor of the Washington Monthly and a reporter and feature writer for the Observer. She won the Orwell Prize for journalism in 1998 and in 2007 was named ‘Columnist of the Year’ at the British Press Awards.

David Goldblatt is a sports writer, broadcaster, sociologist, journalist and author. He is best known for his book The Ball is Round, which was described as the ‘seminal football history’ by Simon Kuper.

Giles Wilson is a BBC features editor responsible for BBC News Online’s highly successful Magazine section, its Ouch Disability team, BBC Trending, correspondent blogs, the picture desk and production team.

Rob Booth is a senior reporter at the Guardian. He previously worked on The Sunday Times and edited Building Design, the architecture newspaper. He has worked on investigations including Wikileaks cables, Qatar migrant labour abuse and Prince Charles’ influence.
