The Ringer names Raiders WR Antonio Brown biggest X-factor for 2019 season

When the Oakland Raiders traded for Antonio Brown, they couldn’t have possibly envisioned all of the drama that the move would entail. However, the off-the-field distractions have made many forget just how talented Brown is as a player.

In a recent article by Danny Kelly of The Ringer, he named Brown as one of the league’s biggest X-factors entering the season. Take a look at what Kelly had to say about the four-time All-Pro receiver.

It’s been a tumultuous offseason for Brown, who forced a trade out of Pittsburgh before threatening to retire over the NFL’s new helmet standards. When he’s on the field, Brown is one of the most dynamic, unguardable receivers in the league. But the mercurial superstar doesn’t shy away from drama—making it impossible to predict just how many games he’ll actually play in 2019.

If Brown can produce at the same level we saw in 2018, there is no telling just how much he could improve the Raiders’ team. Brown has the ability to elevate everyone around him, and with a better passing game, Oakland could surprise a lot of teams this season.

However, there is also the chance that things implode for Brown, and he negatively impacts Derek Carr and the rest of the offense. For that reason, Brown is the team’s biggest X-factor heading into the 2019 season.
