From the battlefields of the first world war to the 2014 Boxing Day tsunami; from post-war migration to the current crises in Syria and Yemen, the Australian Red Cross has helped to reconnect families and clarify the fate of missing relatives.
This exhibition looks at how one young woman from Melbourne helped to establish the Australian Red Cross tracing service during the first world war. It traces stories of families who have been helped, like Zehra Zenunovic (pictured) who was able to seek information regarding her brother, whom she had believed was killed in 1992.
