The revealing statistic that shows where Bristol City, Middlesbrough and Leeds United have fallen behind their closest rivals

Nothing less than two wins will do for Bristol City in their attempts to make the play-offs this season.

The Robins fell four points behind Derby County in Saturday's defeat to the Rams, which was a loss that told a familiar story to the rest of the Robins' season.

Despite having chances, the Robins were unable to put the ball in the net - and it is clear that this is where they have fallen short this season.

Whilst the Robins perform fairly well when it comes to shots per game, their goals per game and shots per goal ratios are lacking behind the likes of Derby, Aston Villa and West Brom.

Indeed, it is interesting to note how other clubs who look like they will fall short in their targets for this season - Middlesbrough and Leeds - both have similar issues.

Leeds lead the way when it comes to shots per game, but their shots per goal ratio is lacking, although this is nullified by the sheer amount of shots they take.

Meanwhile, Boro's shots per goal ratio is by far and away the worst in the league.
