The remarkably prescient Mark Field

On 22nd September the MP for Cities of London and Westminster wrote:

Jacqui Smith, apparently lacks the will to take decisive action [against Ian Blair] so I believe it is left to Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and his Deputy, Kit Malthouse, to push his hand.

This, amid one of those weary diatribes about "bloated" this and "politically correct" that. I wonder what tune such Tories would be singing had they been in government and presided over Sir Ian's record, as judged by the falling crime stats? A crowing kind of tune, I'd guess.
