Comedian Romesh Ranganathan is back on screens tonight with his very own semi-autobiographical sitcom.
Just a few weeks about the end of his first series as a regular on A League Of Their Own, Ranganathan is back on Sky One to entertain fans with his own comedy show.
Taking the lead character role, Ranganathan’s character is left in charge of his late father’s pub but isn’t quite ready to give up his DJ dream just yet, leading him with the ultimate dilemma of how to deal with pressure and follow his heart.

What is The Reluctant Landlord?
Based loosely on his own experiences running his late father’s pub in East Grinstead, Ranganathan is ready to debut his very own sitcom with his dry humour and wit.
Romesh, the new landlord, is under pressure to make his new pub life work. To make him feel even more trapped, his wife Natasha and their kids have settled into their new surroundings very quickly while his mum feels the pub is the only way to keep Romesh’s late father’s legacy alive.
So Romesh has to suppress his dream to be a Hip Hop DJ while he tries to get rid of the business he never wanted – all while fighting off emotional blackmail from his family to keep him pulling pints.
Who stars in The Reluctant Landlord?
Comedian Ranganathan, who is no stranger to the small screen, stars as the titular character Romesh while Car Share’s Sian Gibson plays his wife Natasha.
Nick Helm stars as Romesh’s best friend Lemon, Yasmine Akram is Julie and Phil Davis is Tony. Gavin and Stacey favourite Alison Steadman takes the role of Debbie.
When does it start?
The Reluctant Landlord starts on Tuesday October 30 at 10pm on Sky One. There are six episodes in the series.
