The Relationship of the Human Body to Space

Sansiri has magnificently transformed the Sansiri Lounge into an art museum that will offer Thai people a step into the world of sculptures through its upcoming LOOK sculpture.

LOOK, Antony Gormley’s sculpture which is being exhibited publicly for the first time in the world in Thailand, was created in 2014 and it is a part of his MASSIVE BLOCKWORKS project which originated during 2011-2012. LOOK is a cast iron sculpture of the human body in a standing posture. The sculpture, which is 203cm in height; 41.5cm in width; 30.5cm in thickness and 627kg in weight, is made up of cast iron. The sculpture is inspired by the human body and is composed of different physical parts. This idea of many small parts coming together as part of an interconnected structure to form something larger is also adopted by Sansiri the building of its residences.

The Place & Space concept was derived from the open imagination of 1960s sculptures. Gormley’s conceptions of both his own body and others’ were imprinted and portrayed under the same idea in various ways – using different kinds of materials to reflect his signature imagination through art.
