The Redskins are trying to customize a helmet for Trent Williams

The Washington Redskins are doing what they can to get left tackle Trent Williams back onto the field.

After the 31-year-old ended his extended holdout from the team earlier this week, it has been a roller coaster of events for the Redskins, as they’ve seen him show up on Wednesday morning, and then fail a physical due to the helmet hurting his head, which is understandable, due to the cosmetic surgery he underwent earlier in the year to remove a growth from his scalp.

According to the NFL rule book, the Redskins have two weeks to find a suitable helmet for Williams, or else he will likely be placed on the NFL list, and will not count towards the 53-man roster. Until the team can find a helmet, Williams will not play with the team.
