The Redskins are reportedly having a tough time trying to trade Josh Norman

The Washington Redskins are reportedly having a tough time finding a trade partner for veteran cornerback Josh Norman, who the team has been open to dealing for the past several days. While left tackle Trent Williams is the major trade piece that many teams in the NFL are interested in acquiring, NFL Networks’ Tom Pelissero reports that Washington has been calling around the league, seeing if anyone is interested in taking Norman off of their hands.

So far, they’ve found little success, to no surprise. Though he used to be one of the best coverage players in the league, Norman’s production has severely dropped off over the past two seasons, and he currently has a team-high four touchdowns allowed this season. On top of that, injuries have held Norman out of practice as of late, adding injury to insult.

While many teams are interested in acquiring Williams, the Redskins seem keen on getting rid of Norman. Will it work? We’ll have to wait until the deadline at 4 p.m. ET to find out.
