The Redskins are expecting to start QB Case Keenum against Miami

It appears that the Washington Redskins are planning to go back to the hierarchy they had envisioned before the season started, with Case Keenum as the starting QB, Colt McCoy as the backup, and rookie Dwayne Haskins waiting in the wing.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Bill Callahan and the Redskins are expecting Keenum to be healthy enough to go this weekend against the Miami Dolphins after missing last week’s game with a foot injury. McCoy got the start against the Patriots days ago, and struggled mightily against their top-ranked defense, managing just seven points on a 65-yard rushing touchdown from Steven Sims.

For Keenum, this could act as a major confidence builder, as he now has the support of the coaching staff and a highly-winnable game against the 0-5 Dolphins on Sunday. If there were ever a chance for him to solidify himself as the starting QB in Washington, this would be the week to do it.
