The Reds hit back-to-back-to-back home runs on three straight pitches, which is hard to do

I’m not “into” math, so I’m not about to sit down and try to figure what the odds are of something like this happening.

Instead, I’m just going to assume hitting back-to-back-to-back home runs on back-to-back-to-back pitches is something that is not very likely to happen.

But that’s exactly what the Cincinnati Reds did in the first inning of Sunday’s game agains the San Francisco Giants at PNC Park, which is pretty ridiculous.

Eugenio Suarez started things off with a 338-foot shot, then Jesse Winker followed with a 408-foot homer, and then Derek Dietrich did the unthinkable by hitting the third straight homer off Jeff Samardzija

Imagine showing up late to this one?

That’s pretty nuts, but apparently it’s not too hard to pull off because the Dodgers did it in 2007:

OK, I admit it, it is hard.
