The reason you need to keep your receipt for your Valentine's Day meal

Valentine's Day for many means a slap-up meal or a cosy takeaway with a loved one.

The romantic holiday falls on a Friday this year and that means restaurants will be packed out with people on dates or enjoying nights out with friends.

However, for those who are having a more intimate night and buying a dine in deal from a major UK supermarket there is one important reason why you should keep your receipt.

A deals website is offering every new user £10 in cash if they have bought a dine in deal from a UK store including M&S' popular Valentine's Day dine in deal and similar offerings from Waitrose, Tesco, Morrisons and more. All they are asking for is a picture of the receipt to confirm you bought the meal.

Topcashback says anybody who signs up here and then uploads their receipt. It must clearly show the date and time of purchase, the retailer's name and the item you have bought.

The deal is eligible on the following meal deals:

  • Marks and Spencer

Shoppers can pick up a starter, main, side, dessert, box of chocolates and bottle of drink including the new From Mojito to You cocktail for just £20 ( £10 with cashback).

The M&S Valentine's Day Dine In offer will run from February 10 to February 14  online and in store.

  • Asda

The deal includes choice of any starter, main, two sides, dessert and a bottle of wine for just £15( £5 with cashback).

The deal includes three courses including vegetarian options. Asda’s full range of Valentine’s Day dine-in meal deals for two are available in Asda stores and online for £15 from 6 to 16 February 2020.

  • Tesco

Valentine’s Day Meal Deal costs £20 ( £10 with cashback) across selected stores subject to availability while stocks last.

The offer starts 12 February and ends 16 February 2020.

  • Iceland

The frozen food store will launch a  £10 meal deal ( FREE with cashback) which includes starter, main and dessert, and a bottle of wine or box of chocolates for non drinkers.

You will be able to shop the offer in stores and online from 10th to 16th February.
