Tottenham supporters hoping to get a glimpse of Jack Clarke in action today have been left disappointed.
Spurs signed the 18-year-old winger from Leeds earlier this summer, for a fee in the region of £8.5million.
But he was immediately loaned back to the Championship club for the entirety of the 2019/20 season.
Leeds are currently on a pre-season tour of Australia, where they will face Manchester United (today) and Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday.
But Clarke is not in the squad for the game against Manchester United, in fact he has not travelled to Australia with his Leeds teammates at all.
Clarke was among a number of players left at home by manager Marcelo Bielsa, who himself has remained in England, to complete more pressing fitness work.
According to our friends at Leeds Live , Clarke and some other teammates have stayed at home to undergo necessary fitness work at their Thorp Arch training ground.
Leeds Live state: "The bulk of the players remaining at Thorp Arch will be undergoing more fitness work after arriving late to pre-season following either extended international duty this summer or arriving as new signings.
"Jack Clarke is putting in the hard yards at Leeds' training ground and is expected to feature in Wednesday night's friendly at Tadcaster Albion."
So, Spurs fans will not be able to see him on TV, but if anyone fancies making the trip to Tadcaster, you can see the new teenager in action there.
