The reason why Joel Lynch is not involved for QPR in their Championship clash with Derby County

There was a notable absentee on the Queens Park Rangers team sheet when John Eustace revealed the side to face Derby County.

The likes of Angel Rangel, Toni Leistner, Grant Hall and Jake Bidwell were all expected to miss the clash at Pride Park after sitting out the defeat to Blackburn Rovers - a game which saw QPR field a somewhat makeshift defence.

But it seems that the situation has got even worse for the match with the Rams.

Joel Lynch was expected to start the game against Frank Lampard's side, but was not named in the starting line-up or on the bench.

However it can be revealed that the defender misses out on the clash with Derby because of a hamstring injury.

It's thought that the 31-year-old suffered the injury during the 2-1 defeat to Blackburn on Good Friday, but battled his way through the 90 minutes.
