Hugo Lloris has returned home from Tottenham's pre-season tour of Asia.
The Frenchman has today (Monday) returned to London from Singapore as he continues his recovery from tonsillitis.
Lloris has been absent from Tottenham training after coming down with tonsillitis on Friday soon after landing in Singapore, and he was not involved as Spurs beat Juventus 3-2 yesterday (Sunday) at the Singapore National Stadium, with Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane on target for Mauricio Pochettino's men as they won the International Champions Cup clash.
Paulo Gazzaniga started the game against the Serie A champions instead, with Alfie Whiteman named on the bench for the match, although he was an unused substitute.
In a statement, Tottenham have confirmed that Lloris has now returned to England, with the Frenchman set to miss the club's clash with Manchester United on Thursday in Shanghai.
However, Spurs have confirmed that the club captain is expected to return to training with the first team squad following the pre-season tour of Asia.
Tottenham also have former Southend United goalkeeper Edward Smith on trial in pre-season, with the 23-year-old featuring as a young Spurs side faced Ebbsfleet United prior to the club's tour of Asia.
With Michel Vorm being released by Tottenham this summer, Spurs' academy graduate Whiteman could have a chance of becoming a first team squad member
Pochettino will hope to add a homegrown option alongside experience goalkeepers Lloris and Gazzaniga.
