Arsenal have named their squad for the 2019/20 Europa League.
There are two names who fans might be wondering why they are not included on the list.
Both Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson have played significant parts in Unai Emery's Premier League squads so far this season, starting at least two games.
But, their names were absent from the squad list that appeared on UEFA.com today.
The reason being is that the squad is split into 'list A' and 'list B'.
While there is a limit of 25 players on 'list A', there are an unlimited number of spaces on 'list B', players are eligible if they were born on or after 1 January 1998 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday.
Both Willock and Nelson meet these conditions, meaning that their inclusion in the 'B list' opens up other spaces on the 'A list' for Unai Emery to use.
Stipulations for 'List A' also state that clubs must name a minimum of eight 'locally trained players', these are players that have been either with the club, or another club affiliated with the same association ('association trained player') between the ages of 15 and 21. However, no more than four of the eight can be association trained players.
Arsenal, Willock and Nelson, will open up their Europa League campaign against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday September 19th.
