Eden Hazard's time at Real Madrid at been mixed to say the least.
The former Chelsea man arrived in La Liga after leaving the Blues in a deal worth up to £150million over the summer.
His time in Madrid didn't get off to the best of starts as a hamstring injury ruled him out of the opening three games of the season.
Since then Hazard has struggled for form and fitness as he looks to prove himself to the ever-demanding supporters at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The forward has come in for some criticism from fans since arriving in Madrid, with the Belgian being left out of the previous game against Real Mallorca.
But it wasn't a decision based on his performances.
According to Marca, Hazard missed Saturday's clash due to attending the imminent arrival of his newborn child.
Hazard is expecting his fourth child with his wife, Natacha, and Zinedine Zidane granted the Belgian a leave of absence to ensure that he didn't miss the special occasion.
Real Madrid return to action on Tuesday evening as they travel to Turkey to take on Galatasaray, with the hope that Eden Hazard will be on the plane with the rest of Zidane's squad.
