The reason Britain's Got Talent's Amanda Holden has been banned from her daughter's sports day

Amanda Holden has revealed that she has been banned from her daughter's sports day.

The Britain's Got Talent judge said that it was not a ban in place from the school, but from her 13-year-old daughter Lexi who forbade her from attending the event.

However her younger daughter Hollie, aged seven, still likes Holden to attend her sports days according to Plymouth Live.

The reason for her apparent ban is the 48-year-old's overwhelming competitiveness.

Speaking whilst presenting her radio show on Heart, Amanda said: "Lexi is a bit older and she has banned me from going to her sports day.

"It's on Friday but she isn't interested in anything parental."

Co-host Jamie Theakston asked if it was because of her competitiveness, which Holden agreed with through laughter.

But Holden is far from the only famous parent at her eldest child's school, as she is overshadowed by a big British A-lister.

She revealed that Colin Firth also sends his kids to the same school - a fact she ironically learned at a school sports day.

"When Lexi was in year four I saw Colin Firth on a space hopper in the dad race," she said.

"We were all told we weren't allowed to get our phones out. Can you imagine?”
