Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is on the verge of joining Atletico Madrid - but the deal has not yet been officially completed.
Torreira is in Spain ahead of a loan move to the La Liga outfit - and is understood to have passed a medical.
The 24-year-old was pictured undergoing his medical over the weekend - smiling and giving a thumbs up gesture.
But Spanish media outlet Marca reports that the transfer will only go through if Atletico sell one of their players in order to comply with the league's financial rules.
Thomas Lemar and Hector Herrera are said to be among those who could be leaving the club.
Lemar has been linked with Arsenal, along with Atletico team-mate Thomas Partey.
Torreira is set to join Atletico on an initial loan deal with a view to a £20million permanent switch, says Marca.
Arsenal are looking to bring in another midfielder ahead of tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.
Houssem Aouar of Lyon was a target but it looks like he is staying in France.
Aouar scored in Lyon's draw with Marseille on Sunday evening and was asked about Arsenal's interest.
He said: "I felt that I could still bring things to this team and the club, the club that raised me, quite simply."
