The reason Aldi doesn't offer buy one get one free deals

Budget supermarket Aldi is known for offering reasonable prices, but you'll never see a buy one get one free deal there.

And an Aldi insider has told us why the store won't be offering BOGOF deals any time soon.

Instead, Britain’s fifth-largest supermarket is committed to offering the lowest prices for the best quality products every single day, the insider said.

You will also find amazing value in Aldi’s Specialbuys aisle, which can house anything from electricals and clothes to garden furniture and homeware. In addition, Aldi offers its ‘Super 6’ selection of seasonal fruit and veg at super-low prices every fortnight.

Aldi’s promise to customers is to have the lowest possible prices for all of its products, all year round so it has no plans to introduce BOGOF deals.

And if you've been wondering how to pronounce Aldi, the insider also set the record straight on that.

Many people tend to drag it out and say ‘All-di’, but according to our Aldi insider, we should be saying ‘Al-di’.

The supermarket’s name actually came from the surname of the brothers who started the chain in 1946, Karl and Theo Albrecht. The 'Al' is taken from Albrecht, and the 'di' comes from discount.

So now you know.
