The south side can look forward to a brand new Chinese street food cafe with the arrival of The Real Wan in Cathcart.
The venue, which will specialise south-western Chinese cuisine, has replaced the former Danish cafe Fylkir on Newlands Road, a short walk from Cathcart train station.
The Scandinavian food spot served customers for the final time at the end of August after the owners opted for a return to Copenhagen.
Little is known about what we can expect from The Real Wan however images shared on social media suggest we'll soon be tucking into hearty dumplings, soups and noodle bowls, with a comment on Instagram saying: "I’m breaking out of my kitchen to bring the wonderful taste to the street.
"This is a call to all the ambitious foodies. Trust me, this is not gonna be like the Chinese takeaway food you’re familiar with, not one of my dishes can be found in your local takeaway! This is The Real Wan!!"
