Five years ago Andy Considine proved he can boogie.
Now he’s being backed to swing onto the biggest footballing stage of all at the age of 34.
Considine has inadvertently set the soundtrack to success for Steve Clarke’s troops after they finally brought an end to 22 years of hurt by qualifying for next summer’s Euros.
Footage of the delirious Scotland players doing a dressing room bounce to the sound of 70s hit ‘Yes sir, I can Boogie’ after beating Serbia on Thursday went viral.
Some reckon it could even challenge for the Christmas number one spot when the Tartan Army get hold of it.
And it’s the nation’s most unlikely cult hero Considine who is behind the rise of the Baccara hit that’s even older than the fans who can remember our last involvements in major tournaments.
The 33-year-old might seem like the reserved type.
But the moment he let his hair down - not to mention put on some lippy, a checked mini skirt and bra - to Boogie to the 70s pop ditty in a video filmed during his stag do in 2015 would change that forever.

Flood was just delighted to see Considine had kept his clothes on in the latest viral video sensation.
He said: “It was great to see those scenes in the dressing room. Especially with Andy right in the middle of it.
“Nobody deserves this success more.
“I remember the first time I saw that video we were called in for an analysis session.
“The boys gathered round as always expecting to see some clips of games but instead of watching opposition highlights we suddenly found ourselves watching Andy and his mates dressed as women!
“The analysis guy, we called him Bunson, had put it up on the big screen for a laugh. I’m pretty sure some of the lads like Mark Reynolds were behind it too.
“Bunson is still there now so all must be forgiven!
“I couldn’t believe he had the balls to do it to be honest! Fair play to him we are all for a bit of banter.
“As I said though it was great to see those scenes in Serbia. What Scotland achieved is unbelievable.
“They were fantastic and it looks as if they have a right good spirit about them.”
Considine’s international breakthrough under Clarke at the age of 33 has been a fairytale within a fairytale.
But Flood doesn’t expect it to be a short story and is fully expecting his ex-team mate to be in the group when Clarke announces his final selection for next summer’s blockbuster.
Flood said: “Going off his performances against Slovakia and Czech Republic you’d expect he will be in the squad for the Euros.
“It’s no surprise to me. Andy just needed an opportunity. Now he’s had that and taken it.
“There’s nobody more deserving than Andy Considine because every day in training he works hard, goes about his business and is no hassle off the pitch.
“He dedicates his life to it and is a model pro and a very good team mate.
“He’s not a shouter or a baller but you want Andy in your team because you know exactly what you’re going to get from him.
“He has always been a top centre back but seems to have improved with age.
“There’s no moaning with him when he gets moved out from centre back to left back he just gets on with it and appreciates all he gets.”
