Real Madrid are close to signing Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.
That's according to reports in Spain who claim the La Liga giants have agreed personal terms with the Dutchman who was very impressive in Ajax's run to the Champions League semi-final last season.
In addition, the report states that Los Blancos are yet to finalise a price with Ajax for the 22-year-old, although the midfielder is said to have a price-tag of around £60m.
With that said, coach Erik ten Hag has reassured supporters that keeping van de Beek remains the priority following the departures of Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt this summer.
"We will do everything in our power to keep him at Ajax," ten Hag said in a press conference on Friday, as per Marca . "We don't want to lose him, but when clubs of that calibre enter the situation, things get very difficult.
"Donny was very important for us last season and has started this campaign with enthusiasm, freshness and lots of energy, his departure would be a loss, but we know it can happen."
Meanwhile, van de Beek has refused to be drawn on talk surrounding his future.
"There is interest from Real Madrid, but people are getting ahead of themselves," he said. "You don't have to believe everything that is written. People talk a lot.
"I don't have to say what is true and what is not. I'm focused on the game [against Vitesse] on Saturday."

One person hoping Real Madrid complete a deal for van de Beek will most likely be Arsenal head coach Unai Emery.
This is because this could have an affect on Dani Ceballos.
The Spanish midfielder is on loan from the La Liga giants Real Madrid and football.london reported last month that Ceballos' wages, believed to be around £60,000-a-week will be paid in its entirety by the north London outfit.
However, there is not a purchase option in the agreement between the two clubs.
But should Madrid add to their midfield options this summer, does that mean Ceballos doesn't have a long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu? If so, that could boost the Gunners' chances of signing the midfielder on a permanent basis.
So far it would appear that Ceballos is enjoying his time in the capitial as following his Emirates Stadium bow last weekend he had a message for supporters.
"Although we did not win, yesterday was a very special day," he posted on Twitter. "Debuting with Arsenal in the Emirates Stadium, with their supporters, was an amazing feeling.
"A great season is awaiting us. I am convinced.
"Let's go Gunners!"
