Dan Carr stepped up to the plate and answered Stephen Bradley's calls for improvement in Shamrock Rovers' 1-0 win over UCD.
Carr scored the 21st minute winner in a comfortable but grinding win that committed the Students to the bottom of the table following Finn Harps' win over Waterford.
And Bradley believes that the 'real' Carr came back as he hustled and harried the UCD back line.
“I thought that was the real Dan,” Hoops boss Bradley told the Irish Mirror.
“We saw what he was about in terms of how aggressive he was in his play. On the front foot, committing defenders, he was brilliant all game.”
Carr added: “I’m pleased and obviously the gaffer is right. I had my opportunity to show him and the team I could produce more and hopefully I did that.”
