The Rangers lesson Steven Gerrard keeps drilling into Ryan Kent as delighted manager salutes 'favourite goal'

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reveals Ryan Kent's wonder goal on Thursday night came after drilling into the winger that he needs to "attack the goal frame".

The former Liverpool youth latched on to an Alfredo Morelos assist to finish off a wonderful team move against Royal Antwerp.

That was one of five in a Europa League demolition which saw Rangers advance to the last 16 and Kent's manager feels it was the pick of the bunch.

Gerrard told Rangers TV: "It's my favourite goal because I always look for team goals and it's all about the team for me.

"Glen (Kamara) bounces it into the middle to move them first and foremost, a wonderful ball into Ianis (Hagi) who turns, the turn was sublime.

"Ianis is really clever in that.

"Then he plays the pass to Alfredo, a bit of skill and then we've been saying to Ryan Kent, 'keep attacking the goal frame, that's where you'll get your goals'.

"I think that moves him into double figures tonight, so I'm really pleased for that goal.

"Ryan will get the credit for it but it was a wonderful team goal."
