The Rangers beat the Flyers 9-0 despite all their coaches missing the game

What a bizarre night it was for the New York Rangers.

Hours before they faced the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden, the franchise announced that due to COVID-19 protocols, the entire coaching staff would miss the game. Coaches from their AHL franchise, the Hartford Wolf Pack, would be behind the bench.

And then the Rangers casually went out and potted nine — NINE! — goals without letting the Flyers score once.

Mika Zibanejad — who’s had his share of struggles this season — had six points, including a hat trick, lighting the lamp three times in the second period.

If you like offense, this video is for you:

WOW.
