The Range to open new superstore in Bury - with huge giveaway for first 200 customers

A new home, leisure and garden superstore is opening in Bury this week - with a massive giveaway for the first few customers to walk through the doors.

Situated at the former Debenhams unit at the Rock shopping centre, The Range will open to shoppers on Friday (November 19) at 9am.

Set to be officially unveiled by local councillor Eamonn O’Brien, the store will create more than 120 part-time and full-time jobs and will also mark The Range’s 200th store in the UK.

The new 65,000 square ft store will be spread over three floors providing a number of ‘affordable products’ from home décor and arts & crafts to DIY and pet care.

It will also feature an Iceland store and a luxury kitchen showroom from Jonas & James.

To celebrate the opening of the store, the first 200 customers in the queue on Friday morning will receive a special gift bag crammed full of prizes worth more than £2,000.

Spot prizes for customers visiting on opening day will also be up for grabs, while Smooth Radio will be running a competition where shoppers can win a £250 Range gift card to spend in store.

Staff say they anticipate the new superstore will be popular with shoppers in Bury, especially in the build up to Christmas.

"We are really looking forward to opening our doors on Friday,” store manager Debbie Whiting said.

“The new store will be a fantastic addition to the town and shopping centre and we are proud to open our 200th store here.

“We are delighted to open ahead of Christmas. Shoppers will be able to find everything they could possibly need to have a very special festive celebration from food and dining ware to exterior Christmas lighting, seasonal bedding and beautiful baubles.”

The Range at The Rock will be open Monday – Saturday from 9am to 8pm, while it will open on Sunday from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
