The Range shoppers divided as Halloween products hit the shelves in July

Shoppers have been left divided after a customer spotted Halloween products on the shelves at The Range.

Scotland hasn't had much of a summer as of yet and we've just come into July, but it looks like home retail stores are one step ahead and getting ready for autumn. We're used to seeing Christmas products in the shops early and now Halloween is getting its moment.

Posting on Facebook's Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one shopper posted pictures of the shelves that contained an abundance of orange coloured items including autumn wreaths, autumnal encased lights with pumpkins and faux plants full of orange and red flowers and leaves.

The post went viral with 4.8k comments and 3.4k likes with a clear divide in the comment section. Some Halloween fans were already planning their trips to The Range, while others pleaded to let them enjoy summer first.

One wrote: "Am I seeing things? Is that Halloween stuff?"

A second added: "You're getting ahead of yourself .... let's enjoy the summer first!"

"Bit early but so cool", a third said.

A disgruntled shopper fumed: "It's July 2!!! These are beautiful products, but it's way too early for this yet!!!!!"

Meanwhile there were many who have been waiting for autumn to come around.

"This makes me SO happy", one gleed.

A second added: "Omg I need!! Autumn's my fave season."

Another agreed: "Never to early for some Pumpkins in my house."
