A staff member at The Range in Edinburgh has been left feeling "terrified" after a colleague tested positive for coronavirus.
The worker, who wishes to remain anonymous, is at high risk from the virus due to health conditions and has been panicking about going into work.
A member of staff tested positive after a "party with friends", according to the worker.
Staff at the homeware and garden store were notified of the situation on Monday during a briefing.
However, the store has not been closed for a deep clean.
The staff member claims workers were also told that it was not necessary for them to get a test or self-isolate, despite having been in contact with the confirmed case.
Describing feeling "horrified" at the situation, they said store managers have not listened to staff's fears or concerns over workers' health and safety.
A spokesperson for The Range said: "During these concerning times, we have taken all measures possible in every store to keep our staff and customers safe.
"Following government guidelines, we encourage social distancing at all times, have included protective screens at check-out, and require the mandatory wearing of face-masks unless a health condition makes a staff member or customer exempt from this.

"Any staff showing symptoms, testing positive for coronavirus or who have been contacted by the NHS Track and Trace system will isolate for the recommended time allotted by the government.
"We would like to reassure our customers that our stores are safe and kept at a high standard at all times."
