The Queen under fire after Royals 'snub' in her Christmas Day speech

The Queen has been criticized for apparently 'snubbing' Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle in her annual Christmas Day speech for 2021.

As also reported by Birmingham Live, Her Majesty has been accused of snubbing the overseas Royals in her traditional speech to the UK-wide public.

The Queen, who turned 95 earlier this year, praised William and Kate in her newest speech, which was broadcast on December 25, from 3pm.

As she praised the Cambridges, her distinct lack of mentioning Harry and Meghan left Sussex fans less than impressed.

Speaking of the late Prince Philip, The Queen said: “He was also an early champion of taking seriously our stewardship of the environment. I am proud beyond words that his pioneering work has been taken on and magnified by our eldest son Charles and his eldest son William – admirably supported by Camilla and Catherine.”

A fan said: "The Queen is done with Harry and Meg. She's not going to mention them in a speech ever again."

Martin Loftus said: "Enjoyed HM The Queen’s speech which was far more personal than usual. No mention or sight of either Harry or Andrew which was no bad thing."

Gary Stockton said: "I love The Queen, great speech this year except for being petty to not even show or mention Harry or Meghan during #QueensSpeech"

The Queen said: “I see it in my own family and it is a source of great happiness. Prince Philip was always mindful of this sense of passing the baton.

“That’s why he created The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

“It remains an astonishing success, grounded in his faith in the future."
