The Queen's top 10 songs of all time as her Platinum Jubilee party plans get underway

The Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee in 2022, marking seventy years of service.

Buckingham Palace recently confirmed a series of events to celebrate the unprecedented milestone, which will take place between Thursday, June 2 and Sunday, June 5.

It means an extra four-day Bank Holiday for many, which "will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone."

Plans have now been revealed by the Royal Family, which include the Trooping the Colour parade, a Service of Thanksgiving and a live concert featuring some of the the world's biggest stars. You can read more on this here.

Performers have yet to be named but it is billed as bringing together some of the world’s biggest entertainment stars and clues to next year's musical performers could come from Her Majesty's playlist, reports KentLive.

The monarch revealed her 10 favourite songs to the BBC in 2016 which are an eclectic selection described as "mainstream, no airs and graces."

Royal relatives spoke about the Head of State's music taste in the BBC documentary Our Queen: 90 Musical Years.

The Queen's cousin Lady Elizabeth Anson said: "The Queen loves the theatre and musicals like Showboat, Oklahoma! and Annie Get Your Gun.

"The Queen is a fantastic dancer. She's got great rhythm."

The ruler's top 10 songs include a number of deceased artist such as the late Dame Vera Lynn, but there are a number of living performers who could be being lined up for the platinum jubilee.

This includes Gary Barlow, who played a big part in the Diamond Jubilee, and cast members from some musicals.
