The Queen's Funeral: Details on national two-minute silence to be held on Monday

A national two-minute silence is to be held across the UK on Monday as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's funeral ends.

The Queen's funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday, September 19, at 11am.

It's understood the two-minute silence will take place at 11.55am.

More than 2,000 guests are expected to be at the funeral service.

The state funeral will be broadcast live on a big screen in the grounds of Belfast City Hall.

Books of condolence are open for the public to sign in the main reception area and the east wing of Belfast City Hall.

The books are available for signing between:

  • 9.30am and 8pm Monday to Friday
  • 10am and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday

The books will remain open to sign until 8pm on Monday 19 September 2022.
