The Queen, Prince William and Kate Middleton wish Archie a happy birthday with throwback pictures

The Royal Family have wished Harry And Meghan's son Archie a happy birthday despite having not seen the tot for over a year.

The Queen, Prince William and Kate Middleton send their birthday wishes to Harry's boy through their social media channels.

The Queen was first to post a birthday message to her great-grandson using a picture of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they first introduced Archie to the world. The post on the Royal Family's official Instagram read: "Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted a family picture from Archie's christening back in 2019 which features featuring Meghan's mother Doria Ragland as well as Princess Diana's sisters Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, to their official Instagram page, saying: "Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today."

Prince Charles also shared a touching picture of himself with Harry and Archie, saying: "Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today."

Archie - who is seventh in line to the throne - is expected to be celebrating his birthday privately with his parents in their Los Angeles home.

Last year, on Archie's first birthday the couple shared a video of the Duchess of Sussex reading a book to the tot.

Archie's birthday comes just days after the couple announced Meghan had released a book called The Bench, which is based on Harry and Archie's relationship. The Duchess said the book explores "the special bond between father and son as seen through a mother's eyes."
