The Queen posts £38,000 job vacancy at Buckingham Palace on LinkedIn

The Queen is recruiting!

What's more, the salary isn't too shabby either.

Her Majesty has taken to social media to advertise a job vacancy for a position at Buckingham Palace.

The vacancy is for a planner to join the palace's renovations team.

Buckingham Palace is undergoing a major 10-year refurb, with new electric cabling, plumbing and heating being installed throughout its whopping 775 rooms.

The permanent position comes with a handsome £38,000 salary "dependent on experience, plus benefits".

Applicants are expected to have a background in construction and also have 'good communication' skils.

According to LinkedIn, more than 200 people have already applied for the job.

"No two days will be the same and the variety and pace will challenge you. But as you support others, you'll have exceptional opportunities to grow your own career in a great team environment.

"And knowing you're contributing to the future of an iconic building will inspire you to deliver every day," the job post reads.

Training will be provided, and there's also a 15 per cent employer contribution pension scheme.

Working 37.5 hours per week, the successful applicant will support the Strategic Planner and play a key role in the 10-year refurbishment programme.

Much of the palace has not been updated since the 1950s, leaving it at risk of fire and flooding.

The Queen is expected to move out of her private rooms during the ten-year renovation programme.

She will most likely move into her apartments in the palace, which will be re-done last to minimise disrupting the monarch.
