The Queen has a dedicated servant to break in her shoes and avoid pesky blisters

If ever you needed absolute proof that the royals live in a completely different universe to us, let this be it.

Her Majesty, one of the wealthiest and most photographed women in the world, has a vast retinue of staff who run her social media accounts , open doors for her, manage her diary and look after her beloved horses - and these are just a smattering of examples.

And, because she's the Queen, she also has a servant who helps to break in her shoes for her.

This might sound like the absolute pinnacle of privilege, but when you think about it, the Queen does spend a lot of time on her feet at events.

Why the royals always invite their exes to their weddings - and it's complicated

She's also 93 years-old - a time of life when most who are lucky enough to reach it are putting their feet up.

In a 2012 interview with The Sunday Times, stylist Stewart Parvin - who was granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty in 2007 - said: "[Her shoes] have to be immediately comfortable.

"She goes get someone to wear them."

By way of an explanation, Stewart added: "The Queen can never say 'I'm uncomfortable, I can't walk anymore'" during a royal occasion.

"She has the right to have someone wear them in."

Interestingly, it was hoses which Michelle Obama and the Queen bonded over shoes and painful feet during the Obama's state visit in 2009.

In her memoir, Becoming, Mrs Obama said the Queen commented on how tall she was and suggested her shoes must be painful.

She wrote: "The Queen then glanced down at the pair of black Jimmy Choos I was wearing. She shook her head.

How clever each of the royals are - and Princess Eugenie may no longer be top

"'These shoes are unpleasant, are they not?' she said. She gestured with some frustration at her own black pumps.

"I confessed then to the Queen that my feet were hurting. She confessed that hers hurt, too. We looked at each other then with identical expressions, like, when is all this standing around with world leaders going to finally wrap up?

"And with this, she busted out with a fully charming laugh."

Even being the Queen doesn't make you immune to sore feet.
