Nottingham Forest would have recorded back-to-back victories against Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town – at least according to the Pools Panel.
The Panel has been a Saturday afternoon institution 1963, and has today confirmed it will continue to operate as normal despite Premier League and EFL fixtures being postponed due to the coronavirus.
The EFL confirmed on Thursday that professional football in England will be suspended until April 30 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Results have already been put together for the matches which were postponed last weekend and in mid-week, except for Fulham’s clash with Brentford which should have been on the Friday night.
Chairman Tony Green, the former Scotland international, has been joined by Liverpool legend Ian Callaghan and former Manchester United player David Sadler to run the rule over the Championship programme.
Those six points would have been welcome to Forest who are striving to achieve promotion to the Premier League this term.
The Reds are currently in fifth place in the Sky Bet Championship table, and should the results predicted by the Panel have happened, then they would have seen Forest climb up to third.
Here are all the results predicted so far – and how they would make the Championship look. We have generously given Fulham and Brentford a point apiece for their voided Pools game.
