Meryl Streep leads an all-star cast that includes Nicole Kidman, James Corden, Andrew Rannells, Keegan-Michael Key, Kerry Washington, Ariana DeBose and Jo Ellen Pellman.

New images from the film reveal Streep in full glamour mode, as well as Kidman in her role as a Broadway chorus girl.

What is The Prom about?

The film follows a Tony-winning actress named Dee Dee Allen (Streep) who teams up with Barry Glickman (Corden) for a musical about First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, which flops.

After “career-ending reviews,” the stars find a charitable cause to get behind, and are joined by veteran chorus girl Angie Dickinson (Kidman), and failing actor Trent Oliver (Rannells).

They find their charitable cause in Emma Nolan (Jo Ellen Pellman), a high school senior who has been banned from bringing her girlfriend Alyssa (DeBose) to her school prom.

The Broadway stars descend on the small town of Edgewater, Indiana to help Emma and Alyssa fight for their rights.
