The Prodigy fans to mark Keith Flint's funeral with charity party in Nottingham

The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint will be laid to rest in his Essex hometown on Friday (March 29) and as sad as the occasion will be his bandmates are calling on fans to "raise the roof" at the late star's funeral procession.

If you can't make it to Braintree to bid farewell to the 49-year-old, who tragically committed suicide earlier this month, there will be a chance to remember the original Firestarter at a charity party in Nottingham on the same day.

The Rescue Rooms, in Goldsmith Street, will be holding a Prodigy Party from 10.30pm to 3am - with every single penny of tickets sales being donated to mental health charity CALM.

Entry is a suggested donation of either £5 or £10 per person in advance from alttickets.com.

The party will include all your favourite tracks from The Prodigy as well as other ground-breaking tunes from the rave era and beyond.

Prodigy were last in Nottingham on November 3, 2018 at the Motorpoint Arena - the day after they released their latest album, No Tourists.

The band have clocked up seven number 1 albums, sold 30 million records, played to many millions around the world, and won multiple honours (two Brits, two Kerrang! awards, five MTV awards, two Grammy nominations).

Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods guested on the Prodigy's 2015 single Ibiza and appeared with them when they played Nottingham's Arena the same year, calling it "the easiest night's work I've had" and the band as "good people."
