The Prodigy fans propel three albums back into the charts following Keith Flint's death

Three albums by The Prodigy have returned to the Official Albums Chart following the death of frontman Keith Flint.

The Firestarter icon was found dead at his Essex home on Monday, sparking an outpouring of shock and grief from friends and fans.

His bandmate Liam Howlett later revealed that Flint had “taken his own life”. He was 49.

In the wake of the shocking news, The Prodigy fans started a campaign to get Firestarter to the number one spot to “make sure the fire continues”.

But while the Official Single top spot has been retained by Lewis Capaldi and Someone You Loved, fans did manage to propel a trio of The Prodigy records into the Official Albums charts.

Their Law: The Singles finished the week at number 13 while The Fat of the Land is at 26 and No Tourists at 35.

The top of the album pile belongs to Tom Walker for What A Time To Be Alive while Bryan Adams has had to settle for second place with Shine A Light.

Tributes pour in for Keith Flint

Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next is still enjoying chart success at number three while The Greatest Showman and Bohemian Rhapsody make up the rest of the top five.

Launched shortly after Flint’s death, the Facebook campaign urged fans to “raise Keith’s profile and bring his plight to the forefront of pop culture and mainstream” as well as highlighting mental health and suicide.

The social media petition continued: “Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45 and that needs to change!”

Firestarter was taken from the group’s third album, The Fat of the Land, and marked their first number one single on its release in 1996.
