All the expectation regarding Wayne Rooney is understandable.
It was unfortunate when he was injured, and it will be great news if the scan goes well on Wednesday and the Manchester United striker can take part in the World Cup.
Just a thought though. If England are flying when Rooney returns, and Sven-Goran Eriksson has to drop, say, Peter Crouch... and if Rooney proves off the pace and plays badly enough to suggest he needs more games than those remaining in the tournament, should and - more to the point would - the England coach drop him?
