At a panel discussion on the state of presidential race this morning, American Enterprise Institute scholar Norman Ornstein said:
Sarah Palin is the prettist vice-presidential candidate since John Edwards.
I thought that was pretty good. Only flaw in the punchline: Edwards ran for vice-president in 2004, so including Dick Cheney that year, only one other person has stood for the position. That's Joe Biden, who is known for his foreign policy expertise, not for his striking good looks.
