It might be be contrived, it might be exaggerated but there's no doubt there's a decent lump of truth in there too.
Which could well explain why Hibs and Hearts are currently floundering in relegation territory with Paul Heckingbottom and Craig Levein under serious pressure.
One look at the Premiership home form guide for the calendar year 2019 makes for grim reading for supporters of the two Edinburgh sides.
Put bluntly the Auld Reekie duo are reeking at home.
In terms of win ratios they prop up the entire table. And Aberdeen aren't much better.
Forget Tynecastle, Easter Road and Pittodrie being fortresses, they're now happy hunting grounds for sides looking to plunder points.
