We simulated Liverpool and Man City's Premier League title run-in without Naby Keita and Kevin De Bruyne

Despite their midweek loss to Barcelona, Liverpool's Premier League title challenge is still well and truly on, particularly after their stunning 5-0 win over Huddersfield last weekend.

City beat Burnley 1-0 last weekend to go one point above the Reds with just two games left of the 2018/19 season to play.

The Reds face a trip to Newcastle followed by a home game against Wolves on the final day, whilst Pep Guardiola's side welcome Leicester to the Etihad, followed by an away clash with Brighton on the final day.

However, both Jurgen Klopp and Guardiola have injury issues to contend with, as both Kevin De Bruyne and Naby Keita are now looking likely to miss the remaining fixtures, in what is a massive blow for both sides.

One thing is guaranteed, it's going to be really, really close.

So, who will win the Premier League?

And what will the final two results be?

We used FIFA 19 to find out.

Liverpool vs Man City - the Premier League title run-in predicted

To predict the Premier League title run-in, we simulated both team's remaining fixtures on FIFA 19 to give us a unique title prediction.

We played the strongest Liverpool XI in every fixture, which was as follows: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Matip, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane.

We had to remove Naby Keita from the starting eleven, due to the season-ending injury he suffered against Barcelona,

(EA Sports)

We also played the strongest possible Man City XI in every fixture, which was as follows: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Mendy; Fernandinho, D.Silva, Gundogan; Sterling, Aguero, B. Silva.

This is how it played out.

Gameweek 37

Man City 1-0 Leicester:

30' Sterling

(EA Sports)

Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool:

59' Rondon

80' Firmino

(EA Sports)

Points at the end of Gameweek 37:

Man City: 95

Liverpool: 92

Despair for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side drop two points against Newcastle at St. James Park, with Roberto Firmino scoring late on to make sure it's not all three.

City scrape past Leicester to put themselves within touching distance of the league title.

Due to City's goal difference, Liverpool have to hope they lose and that the Reds win by eight goals in order to overtake Guardiola's side.

A tough ask.

But can a miracle happen?

Gameweek 38

Liverpool 0-1 Wolves:

85' Jimenez

(EA Sports)

Brighton 0-3 Man City:

3' Sterling

38' Walker

63' Aguero

(EA Sports)

Final standings:

Man City: 98

Liverpool: 92

According to FIFA 19, Liverpool won't win another Premier League game this season without Naby Keita, drawing with Newcastle and losing to Wolves, which gifts Man City the 2018/19 league title.

FIFA 19 predicts another year of despair for Liverpool, but simulations have been wrong before, let's hope it is!

How do you think it will play out?
