The Premier League free agents Cardiff City and Swansea City could sign for nothing this summer

Cardiff City and Swansea City will have all eyes on the weekend when they face off in the latest edition of the South Wales derby.

Hosts Cardiff are still in the middle of a relegation battle and don't rightly know which division they'll be playing in next season, while Swansea have probably done enough now to look ahead to this summer.

Sabri Lamouchi, meanwhile, will, regardless of a relegation scrap, be keen to put his own stamp on the Bluebirds' squad should he be afforded the opportunity next term.

Our colleagues in the Midlands have assembled a list of Premier League players - mainly veterans approaching the end of their careers - who could be targeted to add experience to two youthful squads to help bolster what both managers will hope are play-off pushes in the 2023/24 campaign.

There are a few outrageous names on this list which would no doubt be aiming to play higher than the Championship, but for a bit of fun, have a look to see if any take your fancy....
