'The Premier League ain't ready'- Spurs fans react to Tanguy Ndombele's debut performance

Tottenham fans have been reacting to Tanguy Ndombele's first performance for the club.

Spurs completed signing of the midfielder from Ligue 1 side Lyon for a club record 60m euros (£53.8m) in July, surpassing the £42m paid to sign defender Davinson Sanchez from Ajax in August 2017.

The 22-year-old made his first competitive start for the club on Saturday evening, when Spurs took on Aston Villa in their opening 2019/20 Premier League game.

And despite falling behind to John McGinn's first-half opener, last season's runners-up in the Champions League hit-back in the final quarter to seal a 3-1 victory, with Ndombele netting his side's equaliser at White Hart Lane.

Before Harry Kane, like he so often does, scored twice to seal all three points. But reacting to the game on Twitter, Spurs fans were more than impressed with their new man.

Ndombele will have the chance to impress again, when Spurs face Premier League Champions Manchester City next week.
