If I had to describe this book in three words it would be Adventurous, Unique, and Quirky!
That being said I still had some minor problems with the book, or more specifically, the beginning of it since I found it too slow and at some times I even got annoyed with the main character, but as the book went on I started to really enjoy it.
The story is about a girl named Samantha Kemi, aka Sam, and she is participating in this Wild Hunt for a cure for the Princess Evelyn who has poisoned herself with her own Love Potion. For this cure she has to hunt and mix a potion herself, which may sound easy but with sneaky competitors, a confusing love interest, and magical ingredients that she needs to hunt herself the easy part seems to fade… completely.

At first Sam was way over her head, with her lack of experience in this competition and, well, in everything basically. She tries and things just seem to not go her way at first so she gave up easily, which was something that frustrated me, because if you want something, you should go and fight for it. But as the book continues, she seems to understand that and started to become this amazing strong character who I could understand and relate to.
Besides the hunt and character development, there were also other things going on in this book, like her relationship with her family, her interactions with her friends, and just the world-building which I really enjoy seeing. Amy Alward did an amazing job in combining this genre with magic, and for that I tip my fedora at her.
In the end, I think everyone should read this book. The beginning may be slow, but I promise it’s worth the read and I can’t wait for the next book in this trilogy!
