The popular Nottingham retail park owned by King Charles

It's a popular Nottingham retail park visited by thousands of people each week, but many might not realise its royal connection.

Victoria Retail Park, off Colwick Loop Road in Netherfield, is one of a number of retail parks across the country owned by The Crown Estate.

With stores including Next, Boots, M&S and Halfords, it's a popular choice for many and is conveniently located for people living in Colwick and Netherfield.

Morrisons is also situated on the adjoining land and In recent years, a large Sainabury's has been built nearby.

The Crown Estate is a portfolio of properties and businesses owned by The Crown. It cannot be sold and any revenue gained from it does not go directly to the monarch. It is managed by an independent organisation and any excess revenue is paid to the treasury.

As well as retail and property, The Crow Estate also plays an active role on the UK seabed in offshore energy, marine aggregates and cables and pipelines, and looks after much of UK's foreshore.
